Over three years after its release, the second chapter in the Cap trilogy still holds the title of best MCU sequel. The unexpectedly-hired Russo Brothers gave the series a nice jolt of espionage and political intrigue, while plugging viewers into current events.
Chris Evans continues to show that he owns this part and gets ample support from his castmates, including Marvel veteran Scarlett Johansson, fresh face Anthony Mackie, and political thriller veteran Robert Redford. Ultimately, Steve Rogers’ transition into modern day is a deep and personal story that proved to have lasting effects on the MCU as a whole.
