The pint-sized hero had a long road to travel before finally reaching the big screen, but the end result was a breath of fresh air. Director Peyton Reed managed to dial back the “end of the world” stakes and make a personal story that didn’t rely on the established plot threads of the universe.
In the end, he added a heist film to Marvel Studios’ resume. The movie also introduces some charming new characters to the MCU and provides some solid laughs along the way. I mean it’s really hard not to chuckle when listening to Luis’ explain past events.
