In the most recent episode, the tournament started off with a bang. We already have two eliminations and some epic fights underway. Universe 7 entered the tournament with a plan to work as a team. But, as soon as the tournament began, Goku, Frieza, and Vegeta abandoned this plan. They, instead, opted to join the carnage and fight on their own.
Now, this seems to be the wrong decision, especially for Goku. The episode ended with Goku confronted by various competitors. Now, it appears we may see some teamwork after all. The episode preview shows a glimpse of what is to come.
That’s right, Goku and Vegeta will team up in the next episode. In the clip, we see Goku battling Bergamo (Universe 9 competitor). Universe 7 and Universe 9 have some history in this saga and it seems their issue is not over yet. The two teams had an exhibition match in the saga, and before the tournament, Universe 9’s assassins tried to eliminate Goku and Frieza.

With teamwork — a big key to succeeding in the tournament — a Goku and Vegeta team-up may be a step in the right direction. Since Goku is backed into a corner, he now has to rely on his allies. The question remains: How will the two coincide? Tune in to find out.
