In the build-up for the tournament, Jiren had perhaps the most hype going in. The Pride Trooper had a “mystical” feel surrounding him whenever he was showcased. Without ever saying a word, fans eagerly anticipated something from Jiren.
Even during the tournament, we only caught brief glimpses of the competitor. Jiren can be seen standing in the corner looking at the carnage in front of him. This attitude only enhanced fan anticipation in seeing Jiren in action.
Goku is also really eager to see Jiren in action. The Saiyan will even go as far as challgneing the Pride Trooper to a fight. Thanks to Twitter user, @Herms98, we have a translated synopsis for Episode 101:
"“Goku challenges Jiren of Universe 11, but Jiren sends five of his Pride Troopers comrades (including Kahseral) after Goku and co. To defeat them, Goku teams up with the likes of Kale and Caulifla!”"
Things are only getting more exciting in the Tournament of Power. Not only does it seem that we’re closing in on getting that Goku and Jiren match-up, but we’re also going to see the epic team-up of Goku and the female Saiyans.

In addition, the synopsis mentions Master Roshi would be in trouble, and he has to fight his way out of it:
"When the Turtle Hermit loses sight of his comrades, he escapes this predicament by paralyzing his opponent with the Bankoku-Bikkuri-Sho until his comrades arrive! Master Roshi is still alive and kicking!"
When Roshi was introduced as a member of Universe 7, many fans were skeptical. They felt Roshi would be outmatched and outclassed by the other competitors. So perhaps this episode will answer fan concerns.
