After two back to back boxes dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (April 2017 “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” box, and June 2017 “Spider-Man: Homecoming” box), Funko goes uber classic with their Collector Corps “First Appearance Avengers” August 2017 box.
Items for this very nostalgic offering pay homage to the debut of the classic roster of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Vision, the Incredible Hulk and Nick Fury.
The box is a great reminder of how far Marvel has come since the 1960s (it’s official name change to “Marvel Comics”). All you need to do is take a look at the various incarnations of these very famous characters. Who could’ve guessed (not even Stan Lee) that they would one day be part of one of the biggest and most successful superfranchises.
As always, Funko has carefully designed and curated a range of collectors items that concisely show off this important era of Marvel Comics. For all you young folks out there, this box is basically an archaeological dig. So sit back, relax, and check out this unboxing like it’s a PBS special … okay, it’ll probably be more exciting than that!
