5. Iron Fist

There are three tiers to this ranking. No. 1 and 2 are in the upper-echelon, while No. 3 and 4 are a notch or two below. Then, there’s Iron Fist.

Iron Fist was the worst of all of Marvel’s Netflix shows, and it’s not close. It was difficult to side with Jones’ Rand, who was fighting for control of his billion-dollar company that he was away from for years. It wasn’t a sympathetic storyline, unlike the other shows where actions forced you to feel bad for the hero and root for them to take out the big bad.

Aside from Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing, the show’s acting was subpar, too. It took the emotion away from all 13 episodes and made it difficult to sit through, something that can’t be said for the other four shows.

The Defenders seemed to call out Iron Fist’s issues, with a character that complains to get what he wants and spews the same one-liners. Hopefully, in season 2 of Iron Fist, that changes.

Season 2 deserves a much-needed wait after season 1’s mediocrity. Let time pass while Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage air new seasons, and then try to strike when the iron is hot (again) in 2019.
