Social media reactions to Harley Quinn Day 2017
The sun is setting on Batman Harley Quinn Day 2017 but the memories live on as we look back at how social media celebrated Ms. Quinn’s 25th anniversary.
It isn’t every day that a pop culture icon celebrates her 25th anniversary, and what better way for Harley Quinn to celebrate the big day than by taking over Batman Day 2017? September 23 marks the 2th anniversary of the clown princess of crime who made her debut as a minor character back in 1992 in the seminal cartoon classic Batman: The Animated Series.
The lovable Ms. Quinn has certainly left her mark, appearing in both animated and live action feature films, merchandise galore, and she appears in her own long running comic book series that has inspired its own spinoffs. She has risen to prominence faster than any other character in recent pop culture history, cementing her place as one of DC Comics’ most popular characters.
It’s little wonder, then, that when Harley Quinn celebrates an anniversary, she does it in style.
Big style.
Harley Quinn style.
Here’s a look at some of the best tweets of Harley Quinn Day 2017:
You can catch Harley in her biweekly Harley Quinn Rebirth comic (from Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner).
