4. Andrew Lincoln (44)

Like his Walking Dead co-stars Lauren Cohen and Jeffery Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln should get the call to join DC’s Extended Universe. When it comes to Lincoln, most fans associate him with Rick from The Walking Dead, and some may remember him from Love Actually. Still, it’s his role on TWD that makes him ideal for Batman.

On TWD, Lincoln has shown the ability to be a leading man as he owns every scene he’s in (except ones with Morgan). As Rick, Lincoln had to be transformative, first, he was do-gooder sheriff who struggled to find his place in a world that had changed dramatically. Since gunning down his former BFF Rick became a different person.  We’ve seen him handle countless tragedies, betrayals, and defeat in route to some captivating performances by Lincoln. and it’s that ability he’d bring to the DCEU.

From his acting to his voice, there’s no doubt that Lincoln can pull off the brooding terrifying heroic persona, Batman. And he can also play the guarded ye kindhearted billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. With Bruce adopting and mentoring young heroes like Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Barbara Gordon — there’s a softer side to Batman that Andrew Lincoln can and will capture. While he’s not a big-time box office attraction, Lincoln does have enough fan fair to garner support for the role. I have to admit that it’ll be pretty cool since Negan will really be Rick’s daddy.
