Marvel’s Chris Evans humorously responded to the prospect of Disney buying 21st Century Fox.

News of The Walt Disney Company possibly buying 21st Century Fox is beginning to ramp up, as it appears that a deal has been struck. If it happens, Disney would gain possession of many of Fox’s film franchises including the Marvel properties. With the deal gaining momentum, fans and celebrities are starting to chime in. Marvel star Chris Evans has now commented, and he has an interesting idea.

Evans (via Twitter) gave his two cents on the possible deal by expressing his desire to see a buddy comedy film featuring Captain America and The Human Torch:

Both characters are of course roles that Evans has played within the Marvel Universe. The actor has become synonymous with Captain America, but some might forget that he first played Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in two of Fox’s Fantastic Four films.

As funny as the idea sounds, it actually wouldn’t be impossible if the Disney/Fox deal goes through. However, it’s safe to assume that someone else would be covered in flames this time around.

This agreement would really open up an array of possibilities for the Marvel Studios and the Marvel brand in general. The fact that people are already taking notice and commenting on the matter may give Marvel Studios ideas about want audiences want to see.
