Young Justice showrunner teases new season’s release date

Young Justice creator Greg Weisman has given us a better idea of when we can expect the new season.

Young Justice: Outsiders is arguably one of the most anticipated superhero events of 2018. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the show’s return since it was willed back into production through high Netflix ratings and fan campaigns. Despite all of the hype, an exact release date still hasn’t been revealed. However, we do now have a more precise time frame for the new slate of episodes.

Young Justice co-creator Greg Weisman confirmed that the third season will be released sometime during the fourth quarter of next year:

This news is somewhat bittersweet. On one hand, we now have more clarity on the series’ return. But, on the other hand, this also means that fans still have quite a while before they see the latest adventures of DC’s young superhero team.

Details on Young Justice: Outsiders’ release have been scarce to say the least. Aside from this new development, it’s been confirmed that the season will consist of 26 episodes. Whether or not they’ll all be released simultaneously is still anyone’s guess.

In terms of the plot, we also know that metahuman trafficking will be at the center of the story. We’ll also see a slightly different team roster, while veteran characters like Nightwing and Aqualad will be in a very different situation – and frame of mind.
