4 things Walter Hamada can do to save the DCEU
2. Bat-Family and the Batman Universe
One thing Hamada is bound to capitalize off of is Batman. His track record proves that once he finds something worth holding on to he’s going to squeeze if for what it’s worth as evident by The Conjuring. Whether you like Ben Affleck’s performance or not, regardless of who wears the suite, Batman is absolutely box office. Even Kevin Smith thought that the WB should come out with a new Batman film every year.
While it may seem crazy, it appears that the WB might be going just that route to some degree and it’s a smart thing. Batman has a number of villains, sidekicks, and solo adventures to make several movies. You don’t really need Batman for a Batman Universe movie like an origin featuring Ras al Ghul on how he became the Demon’s Head or the adventures of Poison Ivy. The DCEU has plans for the aforementioned Joker/Harley Quinn, Gotham City Sirens, The Batman, and Nightwing
Still, you can’t start a Batman universe without featuring the Dark Knight and whatever happens next no matter who plays the role, Hamada has to get the story right. There shouldn’t be any added stipulations or handcuffs to force a Batman movie into one large DCEU plot or any other DCEU movie for that matter.
