Wonder Woman 2: 6 other actresses we’d like to see play Cheetah

3. Charlize Theron

At 42-years old, despite appearing in over 50 films since 1995, it still feels like the African born actress is just scratching the surface. As of late, she’s been on a role appearing in a number of blockbusters films that include Mad Max Fury Road, voicing Monkey in Kubo and the Two Strings, Fate of the Furious and Atomic Blonde. So, having someone as decorated as Theron appear in Wonder Woman 2 as Cheetah would bring more buzz to a film that likely won’t need it. However, she’s more than just a name. The Mad Max: Fury Road actress is tailor-made for a comic book movie, and now is the time to make that happen. As mentioned before, with so many retellings of Cheetah’s backstory it’s hard to imagine which direction Jenkins will go in. But that doesn’t matter for someone of Theron’s talents.

Theron is a transformative actress with the versatility of a Swiss Army knife. Whether it’s drama, comedy, action, or sci-fi horror, Theron has no limits. In fact, one of her most transformative roles was in Patty Jenkins’ Monster. Together Jenkins and Theron made magic and thrust the latter into Hollywood’s limelight. Theron’s ability to embody a character would allow for Jenkins to explore the depths of what makes Cheetah a compelling villain. In addition to her resume, she has the look and the 5’10 frame which makes her the perfect fit for a villain for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
