2. Quicksilver

Like Yondu, Quicksilver’s death in Avengers: Age of Ultron was meant to add stakes to the film, and to develop his sister, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch.

It still sucked though. Aaron-Taylor Johnson gave us a multifaceted character, one who knew tragedy yet still had a big heart and plenty of swagger. He also brought an unusual power to the table, and his feats of super-speed would have made for awesome fight scenes in future movies.

(Also, let’s be honest, his death felt a little contrived. He could move fast enough to get in front of bullets but not push Hawkeye and the Sokovian boy out of the line of fire?)

Quicksilver’s resurrection would replenish the ranks of the Avengers, for which we’re expecting losses. His impulsiveness could also cause setbacks that make it harder for the remaining Avengers to score clean wins against future bad guys.

As to how Quicksilver comes back, Wanda, or someone Wanda can influence, such as The Vision, would need to wield the gauntlet. To make things interesting, Wanda might manipulate the gauntlet’s wielder to revive her brother, even if the wielder on principle believed the gauntlet should only undo the damage Thanos caused.
