10.  Captain America: Civil War – The Airport Fight

The first thing you have to do when looking at Captain America: Civil War is fight any instinct to compare it to its source material. There is no way that Mark Millar’s story from the comics could translate into one movie well. On top of that, it wouldn’t have fit into the MCU that was being established anyway. At face value, this movie is flawed but it does manage to deliver on its theme of good guys clashing when their visions of ‘the right way’ don’t add up. There is some dynamic acting, intriguing action, and it continues to push the narrative of the MCU.

The Airport Fight scene is the real jewel of Civil War though. As much as people want to see Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. smolder at each other, they want to see the heroes clash more. Some of the conflicts had tension building since the first Avengers. The clashing between individuals and the overall battle were handled very well. Captain America vs Spider-Man is a particular favorite, as the character interaction was pitch perfect.

The fight ending with War Machine taking a near-fatal hit really snaps the audience back to reality. The real lesson is, when hero fights hero, we all lose.
