1. Avengers – The Battle for New York
It may be cheating but I just could not pick one instance from the Battle of New York. The Avengers movie itself was a test of the shared universe concept that Marvel was building at the time. One of the most ambitious ensemble pieces in movie history was unveiled to the world and to lived up to the hype. The Battle was a microcosm, a sequence that was filled laughter, tears and action that did not let down. From Banner rolling in on a motorcycle disheveled to puny god to “and then Schwarma?” The Avengers and the MCU created a magic moment with this one.
Both the characters and actors in the Avengers managed to share screen time while getting their own moments to shine. Not an easy thing to do. Joss Whedon gets a lot of credit, but I’m sure Kevin Feige is also to thank. It probably took countless more people to really make The Battle for New York as special as it was and I hope they are all proud of it.

This weekend, millions of people are going to enter theaters with the highest of hopes and my only wish is that they find what they are looking for. Only time will tell if Infinity War can live up to the promises made by the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
