3. Stevil Rogers

There aren’t many people that Deadpool lets into his circle. After a major moment in Deadpool’s life, Wade earned the trust of Captain America. When Cap lost his Super Soldier Serum, Rogers made Deadpool an Avenger. Later, Rogers regained his powers, but this was a different Steve Rogers. He had an ulterior motive. He was actually working for Hydra. Since Rogers gained Deadpool’s trust, he made Deadpool do things he wouldn’t normally in order for him to further his plans. The most despicable thing he did was order Deadpool to kill everyone’s favorite agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Phil Coulson.

Wade has looked up to Steve Rogers since he was a kid. Wade looked up to Captain America since he was a kid, so it was easy to manipulate him. Deadpool would do anything for him without question and this ended up with Wade losing it all. He lost the admiration from the public, he killed Coulson, took out Agent Preston, and, maybe the most important, his daughter walked out of his life and won’t speak to him.

This moment led Deadpool towards his path to trying to kill himself. He felt the need to punish himself for hurting the people close to him. The new series Despicable Deadpool started with him paying his debt to Stryfe. It led to Deadpool paid someone $20 million to put a hit out on him. All of this because he trusted Steve Rogers and it backfired. After Evil Steve Rogers was captured at the end of Secret Empire, Deadpool went to see him in prison later and told him he’d take something away from him every time he saw him. The first thing he took was his good night’s sleep. Well, that and his toilet.
