7. Justice League: Gods and Monsters

Justice League Gods and Monsters is a totally different spin on a few Justice League members. You have a version of Wonder Woman, in Bekka. However, she doesn’t have the same resolve as Diana Prince, she relishes in her ability and isn’t against killing. Her origin is shady but she’d likely be a rebel who distanced herself from her family and fled to Earth for the feeling of true power.

Next, there’s Batman, who really as bat DNA and kills villains by sucking their blood.  Kirk Langsotrm, a genius introvert who was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Kirk spent much of his time trying to find a cure for his cancer. His only friends were Will and Tina the latter whom he really cared for. With Will’s nanotechnology and his own formula, Kirk cured himself. Unfortunately, he would become what he deemed a monster.

Finally, we have their leader, the son of Zod, Lor-Zod aka Superman. In this world, Zod is responsible for Krypton’s destruction. He implants his genetic code on a ship that is founded by a Mexican couple. He grew up Herman Guerra and struggled with being different,  like Clark Kent. However, Gurrera was a guilt-ridden traumatized alien who would kill for survival. In fact, he killed a mob of drunks threatening him before fleeing to explore the galaxy. He returned to Earth seeking salvation in Mexico but was forced to take action and murder a drug lord, thus Superman was born.

The exploration of these characters would make for great solo movies. Similarly to JL Dark, adapting the animated movie will; be a great start. If you want to see just how great a movie can check out the animated movie, Justice League: Gods and Monsters
