Five DCEU films we’d like to James Gunn direct

1. Justice League Dark 

There’s something fantastic about the way James Gunn brought Guardians of the Galaxy together. He didn’t need, nor was he allowed to tell each character’s story in a solo film. Yet, there was still a sense of individuality with each hero. As the story unfolded the layers behind every member were peeled back. Those same qualities that made Guardians would work in a Justice League Dark film.

Moreover, if you’re wondering whether or not Gunn can direct a hero move — see Slither. Justice League is a ragtag group of heroes led by Constantine. They are assigned the missions the other team can’t handle, mostly dealing with those of the supernatural class. Justice League Dark has a track record of losing directors and all hope was lost.

However, they hired a new writer Jon Spaihts, and things were back on track. Spaihts’ script that is said to feature the evil Shadowpact. With all the moving parts and heroes, Justice League Dark is the ideal movie for James Gunn to direct should the DCEU want his services. 

For all we know, this entire ordeal could blow-over and Gunn will return to Disney. In the meantime, it’s fun to fantasize what a DCEU-James Gunn movie would look like. Which DC hero would you like to receive the James Gunn treatment?
