2. More Symbiotes than we can handle

We know from the trailers that Eddie Brock isn’t the only human the symbiote parasite chose. There’s no doubt Venom will go toe-to-toe with Riot and Donna Diego aka Scream is also in the movies but there are others. Anne Weying, played by Michell Williams makes her live-action debut. In the comics, Anne is the ex-wife of Eddie Brock, while in the movie, she’s a District Attorney. We aren’t sure how much of Weying’s comic book counterpart we’ll see but in the pages of Marvel, she’s also known as She-Venom.

When speaking to Total Film Magazine (via CBM) Williams expressed interest in making Weying a symbolic character, in addition to the idea of a spinoff.

"“Anne is a strong character, and very intelligent. I wanted her to be born of the #MeToo world, and I worked hard to convey that with her wardrobe and dialogue… She-Venom would be a dream come true!”"

Whether or not we’ll see a She-Venom spinoff remains a mystery. Although, with a prominent actress like Michelle Williams’ name attached to Anne we expect Sony to keep her around. In fact, there’s a chance that She-Venom’s skills could come into play when another symbiote comes into effect.
