The Bad: The Iron Fist power

The power of the Iron Fist is more than just just something used to punch the ground – a move that was overused this season. After season one of Iron Fist and Defenders, I hoped to see more than just a glowing yellow hand from Danny Rand. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. When Davos gained the power of the Iron Fist, he immediately had the ability to use the power in both of his hands. I thought this woul begin the exploration of the Iron Fist’s true powers. It’s more than a power used for destruction. In the comics, Iron Fist used the powers to hypnotize people and even heal himself at an accelerated rate.

Despite this being bad, the ending showed that there is a lot of promise for the Iron Fist power going forward. In the end, we see Colleen extend her chi into her sword and Danny shoot chi bullets. This was a step in the right direction. Season 3 of Iron Fist could get more creative with the powers, especially since Orson Randall was name-dropped  in the last few minutes of the final episode.
