6. Ellen Page
There was a time when Ellen Page’s name sat atop many lists for the next breakout star — for good reason. Comic book movie fans recognize her from her brief role in the X-Men franchise as Kitty Pryde.
Juno, however, was her claim to fame. She received critical praise for her role as the title character. In 2010 she went to play in one of the greatest movies of all-time, Inception.
Page stuck out like a lovely sore thumb among a star-studded cast that included Leonardo DiCaprio, Josh Gordon Levitt, and Tom Hardy. Once again she dominated in Tallulah as a mother wanting to rid herself of her child. In the horror movie, The Cured Page impressed.
In fact, her character, Abbie was a reporter who did what she could for the truth. She was able to survive and escape danger — very Lois Lane like.
5. Alicia Vikander
There’s arguably no actress on the list more talented than Alicia Vikander. Despite acting for years prior, it was Ex Machina that put Vikander in the spotlight. As Ava, she was a manipulative artificial intelligence who knew who to get what she wanted. From there, her career took off. Over the years she’s shown great range and produced outstanding work.
As a matter of fact, Vikander co-starred in a film with Superman (Henry Cavill) I’m Man From U.N.C.L.E. However, that was just the beginning of her playing in an action film.
Vikander became the new Lara Craft in the 2018 remake of Tomb Raider. The unassuming action star is a great look for Vikander. Lara Croft is everything you want in Lois Lane. So, WB should have her in mind for their next Superman film
