Imagine if John Wick had adamantium claws and regeneration powers… It could happen if Keanu Reeves has his way in a comic book movie.

There are less than five months away from John Wick 3 which hit theaters May 17, 2019. Keanu Reeves, of course, reprises his role as the retired vengeful hitman. The success of the first two movies made John Wick more than a big screen character.

As a matter of fact, there’s a prequel TV series in the works and Dynamite Entertainment published the first John Wick comic book in Sep. 2017. The series is ongoing meaning, Reeves is technically playing a comic book character.

However, John Wick isn’t the only comic book character Reeves wants to play. He sat down with ScreenGreek where he revealed, he wants to play Wolverine.

When asked whether he had any other comic book characters he’d like to play — Reeves replied, “no.” Nevertheless, Reeves isn’t a stranger to comic book roles. In fact, Reeves played DC/Vertigo hero, John Constantine in 2005’s horror flick, Constantine.

With comic book movies showing no signs of slowing down, there’s a chance we’ll see Reeves in another comic book movie. Reeves may not have any ideas on who he’d play outside Wolverine but there are a few comic book characters he’d kill.

5. John Constantine

Call it lazy, but reprising his role as John Constantine is a great idea. With Walter Hamada taking over the DC Extended Universe we’re bound to see the darker side of DC Comics.

In fact, there’s a Zatanna movie in the works. John Constantine could make an appearance, considering the relationship he and Zatanna share in the comics.

Moreover, there’s also a completed Guillermo Del Toro Justice League Dark script. As fans of DC Comics know, John Constantine takes up the mantle as leader of Justice League Dark.

There’s also the alternate DC movie universe where The Joker resides. Reeves’ Constantine could exist totally opposite of the DCEU in a universe all his own.
