First look at Harley Quinn from Birds of Prey arrives
By Erik Swann
Margot Robbie has shared an early look at Harley Quinn’s new look from Birds of Prey.
Warner Bros. and DC’s Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is now in active production, with filming currently underway. Fans have wanted a small taste of what to expect but nothing has been revealed, until now.
Margot Robbie took to Instagram to share the first look at Harley Quinn from the upcoming film. As expected with Quinn, the outfit is bright, multicolored and over the top. The fan favorite antihero also seems to be sporting a new hairstyle:

Although it’s only a small peek at the character, it’s sure to get fans excited, and it’s just nice to see Robbie back in her signature role. Based on the outfit, one has to wonder what Quinn’s situation is at the start of the film. Her clothes don’t exactly look as ready for a battle as they do for a party. She’s probably not still dancing for her (former) lover the Joker, so what could she be up to?

With this sneak peek, fans will now likely be anxious to get first looks of the new characters being introduced like Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress or Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary. Official stills probably won’t be released for a while, but after Robbie’s post, it’s possible that some of the cast could share early behind-the-scenes looks via social media. And of course, as is the case with many other high-profile films, set photos will probably leak a few things.
This new look at Harley Quinn doesn’t give too much away in terms of story, but it does leave a few questions on the table. One can only imagine what kind of mischief Quinn will get herself into this time. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) opens in theaters on February 7, 2020.
