It’s also worth mentioning the film has also helped the business of a fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe production, Captain Marvel. Marvel Studios’ first female-led solo film catapulted back up to the number two position this weekend with an additional $8 million. This, of course, is mostly due to the Avengers connection. However, Captain Marvel has already proven itself at the box office with a global total of $1.1 billion.

Avengers: Endgame is proving to be a cinematic moment in history not only in terms of filmmaking, but in its box office reach, as well. The film is also the 22nd installment in the MCU and marks the end of the franchise’s “Infinity Saga.” To say the film has set new standards cinematically and financially would be an understatement.
