Here’s how the X-Men cast should look in the MCU

Margaret Qualley as Rogue
Rogue means more to the Marvel Universe than previously depicted in the X-Men. The talented Anna Paquin did a great job in the role given to her. Of course, Fox didn’t have the rights to Captain Marvel, so the super powered version of Rogue didn’t happen.
Still, the essence of her character was watered down. There wasn’t that endless devotion to her mother, Mystique. Her inner battle between bad good was completely left out and replaced by the inner struggle of being a mutant or not.
Rogue is undoubtedly going to get the reboot treatment, but that doesn’t mean going back to the ’90s version. Christos Gage and artist David Baldeon’s version works best for the MCU. They’ll need a young actress with an unassuming yet tough girl look. Someone who can capture the emotional side Rogue, but also the charming, joking sarcastic side.
Then there’s the post-Captain Marvel absorption. She’s more heroic and part of Captain Marvel exists in her. None of that happens until after she goes temporarily insane. The battles between Rogue and Captain Marvel are entertaining. Rogue’s a layered character who will thrive in the MCU.
With that said, former The Leftovers star Margaret Qualley can pull it off. Warner Bros allegedly considered the 5-8 actress for the role of Huntress in Birds of Prey. Her resume includes Netflix’s live-action Death Note as the sociopath Mia Sutton.
Most recently she starred in the HBO adaptation of Richard Wright’s novel Native Son as Mary. Qualley’s set to star alongside Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Leonardo DiCaprio in Once Upon a Time.
Rogue, Destiny, and Mystique could star in their own Disney Plus miniseries. This would give them a chance to introduce fans to Rogue before giving fans a Captain Marvel v Rogue movie.
