Here’s how the X-Men cast should look in the MCU

Timothée Chalamet as Nightcrawler
One of the more underused characters in the X-Men movie franchise was Nightcrawler. In X-Men (2000), Alan Cumming played Nightcrawler, where he had an amazing opening scene. He was brainwashed into killing the president. However, he eventually helped our heroes but faded into obscurity.
We wouldn’t see Nightcrawler again until X-Men: Apocalypse. Bryan Singer did bring Nightcrawler back, with Kodi Smit-McPhee playing the role of Kurt Wagner. Once again, Nightcrawler shined, taking on Angel in another amazing scene.
Still, there hasn’t been much attention paid to who he was. Fans of the teleporting, warm-hearted mutant recognize that Kurt has more depth than previously depicted. Nightcrawler is a character in desperate need of a reboot.
For example, there wasn’t much attention paid to him being the son of Mystique and (non-biological) brother to Rogue. There wasn’t a story that detailed his journey to Germany where he was forced to take down his child-murdering brother.
Like so many other characters his story would work well in as Disney Plus miniseries or movie on the streaming service. And it’s Timothée Chalamet, who could pull off the blue-furred devout Catholic.
Chalamet played young Tim in Interstellar before going on to establish himself as future Oscar nominee in Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird, and Beautiful Boy. He’s an immensely talented actor who would make Nightcrawler feel like more than a supporting character.
