Rory McCann as Juggernaut

Whether you’re a fan of the comics or a casual X-Men fan, many agree that Juggernaut was one of many mutants neglected by Fox. He wasn’t invisible, just forgettable. Well, it’s hard to forget how terrible he was in X-Men: The Last Stand. Besides not having any palpable relationship with the X-Men or Professor X. He was relegated to a supporting role where he was made to look like a dufus. At least he made Shadowcat cool.

It was actor Vinnie Jones who played the role, and his character deserved better. Ryan Reynolds did that in Deadpool 2. In a comedic way, Juggernaut’s relationship with Professor X was discussed. Still, he was nothing more than a side character, albeit vastly improved.

Now that the Fox franchise is over, there’s a chance for Disney to capitalize n a villain who has an important connection with the X-Men and the Marvel Universe. Juggernaut has a story that’s worth telling in a film where he’s the primary villain. His character isn’t just a one-off villain either, thanks to him eventually joining the Avengers.

In some ways, Rory McCann’s Game of Thrones character is like Juggernaut. There’s a dark, checkered past with his brother. He’s hardcore, but does have a soft spot that makes you root for him. At six feet, six inches tall, McCann has the height and look needed for Juggernaut.
