Do you want an unknown? How about an actress whose Wikipedia page is all in French and has no American film credits to her name?

Remember what I said about needing to have a background in comedy? Forget I said it, it’s not important when you have a woman so capable as an actress and needs any kind of major role to make her career what it’s meant to be.

More from Marvel Cinematic Universe

Her three major credits are French films: Don’t Leave Me, A Wedding, and Eye on Juliet. She was nominated for best actress during her work in A Wedding. All of these are serious films that don’t offer much humor, but Arabi portrayed a snarky teenager well in Don’t Leave Me, and it struck me as a way Kamala Khan would behave.

I do wish she had more comedic roles to dissect but I didn’t feel right about leaving her off the list.

Beside’s her lack of a comedic background, she is also indeed very much French. While she speaks English, her accent is thick and I wonder if this could be a factor if she was up for the role? I would hope not and it would be a huge mistake if that was actually taken into consideration in her casting.

She may be able to pull off an American accent, but I’ve not been able to find any video of her with one.

Even if Arabi uses a French accent for her Kamala Khan, I wouldn’t be the least bit bothered by the change. It would be well worth it to see her in the role and get her shot in the American film industry.
