A important casting note must always be taken into account for Hippolyta. She is Queen of Themyscira and the mother of Wonder Woman. One cannot cast just anybody for such an important role. The queen herself, Cree Summer is playing Queen Hippolyta. Must one begin with Cree Summer’s resume’ of over thirty decades? You fans likely recognize her as Max from Batman: Beyond and Vixen from Batman: The Brave and The Bold. With Cree Summer’s long history and range, she can definitely bring much to the role – pride, respect, honor, royalty, motherly love and authority.
