Crisis On Infinite Earths: 5 characters who need to show up
Crisis On Infinite Earths will bring some legendary faces into the Arrowverse fray, but which other iconic DC characters would we like to see show up?
The Arrowverse crossover is an annual event on The CW that usually brings together the characters of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. However, it always pushes the boundaries of superhero television and takes the shared universe of heroes to greater heights each time. This year, however, is a completely different ball game.
Titled Crisis On Infinite Earths, the five-part event won’t just add Batwoman to the mix, it will deal with the universe-altering Crisis that the Arrowverse has been building towards for years. And with the multiverse itself at risk, it’s up to all of its superheroes to save it.
That means that we’re going to see a host of familiar faces, both from Arrowverse properties, as well as other DC offerings.
Thus, while we already know that Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch and Jon Cryer are returning as Superman, Lois Lane and Lex Luthor respectively, it has also been revealed that the characters of The CW’s non-Arrowverse show Black Lightning will make an appearance.

However, the creative team are reaching into the wider DC Universe to also pay tribute to some of its classic properties, as the legendary Burt Ward – Robin from Batman ’66 – will be appearing in an undisclosed role, while iconic Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy will finally get a chance to portray a live-action version of Bruce Wayne.
And last but most certainly not least, Legends Of Tomorrow‘s own Brandon Routh will reprise his most famous role as Superman. However, he won’t be playing the triumphant Superman Returns Man Of Steel and will, instead portray the Kingdom Come iteration.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a trip through the multiverse and look at five more iconic characters from the wider DC Universe that we’d like to see show up in Crisis On Infinite Earths.
