Titans season 2 synopsis has been unveiled by DC Universe
DC Universe has officially unveiled the synopsis for the second season of Titans.
It won’t be long until Titans returns to the screens of DC Universe subscribers for its sophomore season – and it’s safe to say that the streaming platform (which is also entering its second year) is getting fans excited.
Following on from a first look season 2 teaser, DC released a brand new full-length trailer – both of which showcased some of the new characters.
However, they also unveiled the synopsis for the impending season which includes some character descriptions for some of the newcomers. The synopsis reads as follows:
"“In season two, following the aftermath of their encounter with Trigon, Dick reforms the Titans. Under his supervision in their home at Titans Tower, Rachel, Gar, Jason Todd train together to hone their hero abilities and work together as a team. They are joined by Hank Hall and Dawn Granger aka Hawk and Dove and Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl.Although these original Titans attempt to transition into a regular life, when old enemies resurface everyone must come together to take care of unfinished business. And as this family of old and new Titans – including Conner Kent and Rose Wilson learn to co-exist, the arrival of Deathstroke, brings to light the sins of the old Titans which threaten to tear this new Titans family apart once more.”"
There is quite a lot to break down from the synopsis, but it seems like the show could be channelling “A Death in the Family” vibes here. This sound also like it could potentially foreshadow or plant seeds to set up the classic Marv Wolfman and George Pérez storyline, “The Judas Contract,” featured in Tales of the Teen Titans No.42–No.44, which then was collected in the Teen Titans Annual No.3.
By old Titans, they are clearly referring to the members which Richard “Dick” Grayson fought against Trigon with: Gar Logan, Rachel Roth/Raven and Kory Anders/Starfire/Koriand’r. The new Titans are old allies of Grayson’s minus Jason Todd (Curran Walters), with the likes of Hawk (Alan Ritchson), Dove (Minka Kelly) and Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie) returning to the fray.

- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have a battle pass (and that’s a bad sign)
- Harley Quinn renewed for a fifth season on Max (and it’s well-deserved)
Notably, Kory is missing from the synopsis, so one might presume that she is the one mostly seeking a normal life, likely with Dick. However, that likely won’t last for long – especially when her home starts calling.
The show stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Lindsey Gort, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters and Conor Leslie. Joshua Orpin, Esai Morales, Chelsea Zhang, Chella Man and Iain Glen guest star – the last of which will be playing none other than Bruce Wayne. Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti write the series.
You can watch Season 1of the show on DC Universe in the U.S. and it streams on Netflix internationally.
