According to a report, another original limited series from Marvel Studios featuring Miss America is set to come to Disney Plus.

Marvel appears not to be pulling out all the stops for potential original content on the Disney Plus streaming service. Walt Disney intends to capitalize on their colorful, dynamic and eclipsing characters within the MCU and other all-inclusive, existing brands within its catalog to take the media and digital platforms by storm.

Now, there are rumors that an original series featuring the character of America Chavez (a.k.a Miss America) is in the early stages of development for Disney Plus. (GWW) Geeks World Wide, who reported the story, suggest this project could be related to a rumor MCU Cosmic covered not too long ago about Galactus and Blue Marvel being introduced into the MCU at some point.

Not to be confused with the golden age character with the same alias, America Chavez was created by one-quarter of the writing collective, Man of Action, writer Joe Casey, and artist Nick Dragotta. Chavez first made an appearance in Vengeance No.1 before rolling alongside the Young Avengers and A-Force, but she is better known as part of the Ultimates as part of the (ANADM) All-New, All-Different Marvel initiative.

Born on the 4th July as Fuertona Starling but raised at some point by two mothers, in a dimension outside of space-time called the Utopian Parallel, Chavez somehow miraculously absorbed a fraction of the powers belonging to a being known as the Demiurge.

Chavez’s mothers sacrificed themselves, as their atoms were splashed across the Multiverse by sealing the black holes that almost led to the destruction of the Utopian Parallel when Chavez was just six years of age. Chavez eventually ran away from home, traveling across other dimensions before becoming a superhero as a way to prove herself.

Chavez, being an extra-dimensional being that belongs to two different species, possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability and self-propelled flight. And in moments of duress, she can also project star-shaped energy blasts and is capable of interdimensional travel.

With other reported limited series set for release on Disney Plus as part of Phase Four of the MCU, a Miss America show would likely be a part of Phase Five. This slate will be kick-started by Blade and likely include recently-announced titles like Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. Disney Plus drops on November 12th.
