James Gunn held a massive table-read for The Suicide Squad
James Gunn revealed that he held a table-read for the cast of The Suicide Squad film.
James Gunn has had an interesting six months. He was reinstated as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 in March and his superhero horror, Brightburn which he produced, received mixed reviews. Gunn, as many know, is hard at work on The Suicide Squad. And as revealed by Heroic Hollywood, he recently held a table-read with the cast.
While answering some questions from one of the fans regarding his influences for making films, Gunn confirmed on Twitter when the actual table reading had taken place, shooting down a rumor about the reading already having taken place sooner than previously stated.
A few weeks back, his brother, Sean, gave his views on the script for the soft reboot featuring the deadly eight (not including Rick Flag) and said that it was “really good.” This was after he deflected questions about being attached to star in the movie, which according to recent headlines, he has actually joined the cast.
