DCEU: 6 actresses who could play Barbara Gordon
2. Zoe Kravitz
There’s a rumor that has Zoe Kravitz in the DCEU as Catwoman, according to a report that Selina Kyle being played by a woman of color. However, with the Selina Kyle’s Latin/Hispanic roots it makes more sense to have fair representation. Enter Zoe Kravitz as Barbara Gordon.
Yeah, she’s 30 but, in the world of the DCEU, she could play a younger version of Barbara in a Birds of Prey prequel film. Because of Zoe Kravitz’s youthful look and talent, it doesn’t matter the age of Barbara Gordon. Kravitz can pull off a 20-30-year-old version because of the character.

With that said, Kravitz is ideal for a character that experiences the tortured, tragic road of Barbara going from Batgirl to Oracle. If Christina Hodson’s film is one of emotion and triumph, then Kravitz can pull that off.
Kravitz resume trumps most of the other actresses on the list. She’s starred in movies like the Divergent series, X-Men: First Class, Dope and Vincent N Roxxy, to name a few. Kravitz can do it all, even comedy as evidenced by her role in Rough Night. If you want to see her in a more dramatic role, check her out in the HBO series Big Little Lies.
She’s also versatile enough to play the wide-eyed, awe-inspired youth who takes up the Batgirl mantle. If Walter Hamada and WB want someone with experience and vigor, Kravitz is their woman.
