5. More of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne

After 30 years (and two movies), the original Ant-Man and Wasp are finally back together again. Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne had quickly started rebuilding their lives together before they were both unfortunate casualties of Thanos’ Snap. However, like many other MCU characters, they were resurrected during the Blip, and even attended Tony Stark’s funeral.

The two haven’t spent too much time together at this point. Most of Ant-Man saw Hank mourning his wife, who had been lost in the Quantum Realm decades earlier. This sorrow soon turned to optimism when Scott returned from the unpredictable, micro dimension. And even when Janet was finally rescued at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp, they still only had a limited amount of screen time together.

A third film has the opportunity to further explore their relationship, showing us why they made such a great duo and what they plan to do in their retirement years. Also, we’ve also seen Hope receive parenting from her somewhat overprotective father.  Allowing her to have some personal moments with her mom — who’s a little looser than her father — would be a nice change of pace.

Hank and Janet are vital characters and, technically, the MCU’s first husband and wife – though chronologically, that honor may now go to Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. Nevertheless, giving fans more of these veterans can only be a good thing.
