2. Barry Allen

This is a long shot, but we’ve heard time and time again, “The Flash has to die.” Crisis on Infinite Earth’s predicted Flash’s death since season one where the Flash would vanish April 25, 2024. But, that’s not the date Barry disappears anymore; as told by The Monitor himself:

"“December 10, 2019. On that day he will answer the call and make the ultimate sacrifice. Soon, this world will fight for the fate of all the known universes.”"

So, Flash has done what any hero expecting death would do, hit as many beaches as he can with the woman he loves. Oh, and he’s started prepping Team Flash for his inevitable departure. We’ve seen Barry disappear into the Speed Force and  Team Flash did their best to keep the city in order while Barry was gone; however, they needed him back.

This time, there’s no one to replace Barry and no one will want to see the same arc repeated with a brief return from Kid Flash stepping in while Barry is indisposed. The show is called The Flash so, what’s one of the best ways to keep The Flash off television until his return? A massive time jump.

Imagine a show where 10 years passed have passed in the world, leaving Iris West Allen  without The Flash. It could easily help The Flash distinguish itself from other shows on the network in a world of its own. After all, when Arrow ceases to exist it’ll be The Flash who becomes the veteran hero.
