Let’s not forget about everyone else

Marvel and DC are the premier comic books. Some fans don’t even realize there are other comic book companies out there or that the shows they are watching are based on comic books, assuming that a popular character like Spawn must be either Marvel or DC. But these two companies aren’t the only horses in the race. Other comic book shows were popular in 2019. One surprise was The Boys, as Amazon hit a home run. The Boys showed that the typical comic book show wasn’t the only route to take. You could find a lesser-known comic book series and turn it into a hit, even comic books that may not be well-received by all viewers.

And while comic book shows like Happy and Deadly Class may have been canceled, but don’t be shocked when they come back in a different form. Deadly Class would have accepted by more people if it was an animated series. The things that went on in King’s Dominion and beyond would have worked better in animation. It also didn’t help that they shied too far away from the source material. Since the actual comic book series isn’t over, we’ll probably see the show rebooted in the future. It’s too good to only go one season and never be seen again. This also won’t stop other companies from picking up other properties. Locke and Key will debut soon, and this could be another comic book show that draws in viewers. It’s a series that will be dark, entertaining, and full of twists and turns.
