3. Forsythe The First Returns

During their expert sleuthing session, Betty and Jughead revealed exactly how Mr. DuPont had made a career out of killing those that got in his way, and how the newest ghost author of the Baxter Brothers novels always seemed to rise whenever there was a mysterious death in Stonewall Prep – something he also managed to link back to DuPont.

In the end, Jug needed evidence – and that evidence was none other than his grandfather Forsythe the First (who was accompanied by his son FP Jones and other grandson Charles Smith). And he was able to corroborate some of what his grandson spoke of, revealing that he had to flee for his life – and has spent the past 15 years attempting to put evidence together in order to stop DuPont.

2. Mr. DuPont Throws Himself Out The Window

After revealing the truth, it was clear that Betty and Jughead (plus Forsythe, FP and Charles) finally had caught DuPont out on his web of lies. Yes, the teacher had orchestrated the murders of all of his former fellow literary society buddies in a bid to keep them quiet, while also forcing his students to plan murders in order to become the next ghost author of the Baxter Brothers novels. And with it all out in the open, the Stonewall Prep teacher backed down and backed off.

However, instead of allowing himself to be taken away by the Jones law enforcers, he threw himself out the window… making his death eerily reminiscent of Mr. Chipping’s.
