While we eagerly anticipate Robert Pattinson’s rendition of the Batman character, there are some storylines we hope to see Warner Bros. adapt for the movie.

Currently slated for a 2021 release date, The Batman is going to be the latest retelling of Bob Kane’s famous detective on the big screen. This time, Robert Pattinson will don the cowl for the first time ever while Cloverfield’s Matt Reeves sits proudly at the helm as writer and director.

Since the movie is still in its early stages of development and filming, there is still very little we know about it. We do know a bit about the cast – which is going to include Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred – but close to nothing about the plot itself.

Although we do not know exactly what story could make it to the big screen, the options are a plenty as Reeves and Co. hypothetically have a limitless supply of comics featuring the character dating from when Bob Kane first created him in 1939 to now.

We have seen several iterations of Batman on both the small and the big screens, but we still have several Bat stories out there that have yet to be adapted. Let us predict some of the best comic book stories that would make perfect material for Pattinson’s onscreen debut as The Bat.
