2. Enchantress

If your first introduction to Enchantress was in her not-so-intimidating big screen portrayal in Suicide Squad, then you don’t know Jack about the character’s true origins. In the comics, Enchantress was truly a force to be reckoned and the entire reason why the Justice League Dark team even exists.

It all started when she went crazy after being separated from her June Moone counterpart. Not only crazy, but powerful to the point that she managed to defeat the original Justice League. That’s right: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman… the whole works. That’s how powerful Enchantress was.

It got to the point that Madame Xanadu felt compelled to compile a supernatural team – i.e. Justice League Dark – to combat Enchantress. Clearly, the character was vital in the Justice League Dark squad coming into being and it would be a missed opportunity for her influence to not be adapted for the big or small screen.

Knowing how powerful Enchantress was in the comics, she would make a fascinating Big Bad opponent for the team in their HBO Max series for a season long arc. Not to mention, it presents DC with the opportunity to redeem the character in the eyes of audiences who were not so impressed with her big screen outing.
