Is there a Justice League Rebirth film on the horizon?
While everyone is hyped up about the Snyder cut, have we all missed clues of a Justice League Rebirth film?
#ReleaseTheSnyderCut was the internet’s rage forever, and if you missed the epic HBO Max reveal…. it’s coming. However, following some internet breadcrumbs, it seems that we may have missed clues of a potential Justice League rebirth in the DCEU.
According to Jeremy Conrad from DCEU Mythic, Warner Brothers has begun development on a Justice League: Rebirth film – one that is “separate from the Snyder Cut and not a continuation of that Justice League story”. He added that the potential movie would be live-action, and not animated.
While there is no certainty the film will make it to full production yet the thought process behind releasing this film, at this time definitely raises a ton of questions.
Why would we need a Justice League Rebirth movie now?
While the coming Flash film is reported to include the Flashpoint and introduce the multiverse as a “soft reboot” to the DC Universe, my question is why now? DC has absolutely led the charge with successful TV series and animated films, but there have been challenges to adapt their non-Batman films to be accepted by a broader audience.

As someone who is newer to reading comic books, and has always understood Marvel films more than the constant reboot-y nature of DC films, why attempt to “soft reboot” the Justice League using the Rebirth storyline so quickly after the initial Justice League is built (from Batman v. Superman to present) and introduce the Rebirth storyline as they are gaining some steam (especially with the upcoming Snyder Cut…)?
Why dive into the full depths of the multiverse before the entire DCEU is solidified in film?
