1. Odeya Rush

With Odeyea Rush playing Zatanna, Warner Bros would have the perfect combination of age, look, and an already-established Hollywood name.

The Israel-born actress has the alluring eyes fans want from Zatanna – similar, in fact, to fan-favorite Alexandra Daddario – but it’s not all about the looks, and Rush has shown what she’s capable of.

Appearing in 22 films, Rush has turned in some memorable performances in The Giver, Mocking Bird and Goosebumps. And at just 23-years old, she’s young enough to build around so fans can watch her grow in the role of Zatanna across various films.

The Dumplin’ actress could easily play a teenage version of Zatanna whose forced to journey on her own after losing her father to the greatest evil she’ll face. Like Shazam, we could follow her exploits as a high school student or something else entirely – either would work.

Imagine a story about a young woman whose struggling to find her place in a world after high school; she finds it with her father as a magician. After his disappearance, her world would change, and who she was would be stripped away and she’d be forced to do everything in her power to get him back. While on her journey this version of Zatanna could discover who her father really is, a former hero whose past has come back to haunt him. And like her father, she too would become a hero.

Yes, Rush could easily pull this off.
