Alison Brie reveals how she keeps up to date with She-Hulk casting rumors
GLOW star Alison Brie has revealed how she gets updates on a role she’s been linked to for some time now. That role is the titular hero on Disney Plus series She-Hulk.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, GLOW star Alison Brie spoke about the long-rumored casting for the Disney Plus original series She-Hulk. Brie amusingly revealed how she kept tabs on the casting updates. When questioned about on THR she replied:
"“You know, I’ve been trying to follow it online a bit, and there don’t seem to be. But it is always funny to me when something kind of takes off on the internet, and I’m getting my updates from fans tagging me in things on Instagram. I’m like ‘Oh, interesting. Oh, people are still talking about it. That’s cool.”"
Production of She-Hulk was supposed to begin in July but there haven’t been any reports as to when that will happen now. In fact, there haven’t been many updates on She-Hulk as of late – and, considering everything going on in the world right now, this isn’t all that surprising. Back in May, however, writer Dana Schwartz confirmed that the writer’s room on the show has ended.
A two-time Golden Globe Award nominee, Brie has addressed some the rumors before, even on The Late Late Show with James Corden – where she not only referred to the rumors but expressed interest in the role. There were prior reports of an “Alison Brie-type” in the casting report and even speculation that the former Community actress was in the running. She’s certainly been a fan-favorite choice, that’s for sure!
