Kate Kane

Speaking of Kate Kane, we need to see her say goodbye to her friend Kara Danvers. From the moment Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane debuted in the Arrowverse, she and Benoist’s Supergirl exuded chemistry. They understood each other and respected each other.

They have a playful banter that elevates their friendship into something deeper. We knew we were in for something special when Supergirl scanned Kate with her X-Ray vision and commented about Kate having a lot of tattoos.

Kate deduced Supergirl’s identity and was a valuable ally in their investigations during Crisis on Infinite Earths. The two characters outgrew their legacy titles to become heroes and friends in their own right.

Despite only interacting during the crossovers, viewers can never doubt the pair’s closeness. Kara even left Kate with a piece of Kryptonite, knowing that her friend would never use it for harm. That piece was supposed to play a key role in the conclusion of the Alice story on Batwoman, though we’ll need to see how the show handles that plotline following Rose’s exit.

Kate Kane deserves a proper farewell, as does her friendship with Kara. Watching the two Paragons battle side by side will be a worthy adieu to them both. Could the showrunners convince Ruby Rose to return for a few weeks to film an episode or two?
