2. Queen Maeve’s misery turns her against Vought

So far, Queen Maeve hasn’t been much like she was in the comic book series. That was until episode 7 of season 2. We see Maeve in bed with a guy, appearing drunk and smoking a vape. Maeve has stated that she’s bisexual, so sleeping with a guys isn’t the part that’s weird. It’s that she just broke up with her girlfriend and she’s already moved on.

She was in love. Unfortunately, Elena saw the video of Maeve on the plane she and Homelander abandoned. That caused Elena to see the woman she loved differently. Now, Maeve seems to be going down the path we saw in the comics.

In The Boys comic book, Maeve was a mole for Butcher and his team. After Homelander overstepped and did something irredeemable in Maeve’s eyes, she became a cold, emotionless drunk. It also leads her to helping The Boys’ mole. She helps bring down Vought, Homelander, and all of the shady things that the superheroes get into. She puts hidden cameras and audio surveillance all over the Vought building.

Maeve seems to have had it with Vought and everything they’re into, so this could be the first domino in the downfall of Vought.
