Metallo

You’d look at Metallo and think that Superman should be able to destroy him with ease. The truth is that he should – except that Metallo has a chunk of Kryptonite inside him. That piece of rock keeps Superman from destroying him like he would any other being. If Metallo were to be used in a DC property outside of the Arrowverse (he’s already appeared on Supergirl), the question is what origin do they use?

Will they go with John Corben the con-man or the army sergeant with a history with Lois Lane’s father? The latter seems like the right direction to go with. However, Corben the con-man is something Jensen Ackles could do as well.

A big part of Ackles’ role in Supernatural was him playing a con-man of sorts. The Winchesters spent most of their adult lives hustling to get money or into areas they shouldn’t be allowed into. This role is more evil than what Dean and Sam were used to doing. Thankfully, Jensen Ackles is a good actor. We’ve seen him play evil on more than a few occasions. It wouldn’t take much for him to become a sleazy and destructive villain.

Metallo is a good start to Superman having villains that aren’t always the same. It would make a change from using Luthor or Zod and offer a nice change of pace. Ackles could be that change.
