WandaVision fan theories: WandaVision will introduce Mephisto

Doctor Strange was the first film to introduce demonic entities like Dormammu, so it’s safe to assume that other infernal beings will also be in the mix at some point, especially since it’s already been revealed that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will be venturing into the world of horror.

With WandaVision’s storyline tieing into the highly anticipated Doctor Strange sequel, many have theorized that a certain villain could arrive is Marvel’s resident master of manipulation, Mephisto. The shot in the trailer showing two pacifiers fly into frame suggests the twin’s Scarlet Witch has made up of his soul fragments could indicate his arrival in the Disney+ originals series.

In the comics, Mephisto tries to reagin the shattered fragments of his soul and uses deception to get others to do the searching for him. It could very well be that Kathryn Hahn’s character is nothing but a pawn for the nefarious demonic evildoer and is attempting to trick Wanda into unknowingly obtaining lost fragments of his soul in search of a happy ending with Vision. Or there is a chance that in a desperate maneuver out of anguish that she makes an unholy bargain with Mephisto laying the groundwork for all kinds of supernatural shenanigans to take place in the series and the second Doctor Strange film.

Mephisto is one of the most iconic villains in the comic universe, and he would absolutely be an ideal addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After aliens, Mad Titans, and Norse gods endangering humanity, it may be time to embrace the dark side of Marvel when it comes to choosing the next Avengers-level threat.
