Cable

Younger Cable is nothing like his older self. He’s funny, enjoys life to its fullest, and doesn’t take things too seriously. This is probably why he was given the fool tarot card. At the end of X of Swords: Stasis, we read that “fool” doesn’t mean he’s unwise. It means that he will learn a lesson.

Chance of death: Very low

Cable isn’t losing. Beyond his skill with a blade, Cable is a power telekinetic and telepath. All of this gives him an edge. Plus, Cable is willing to cheat to get a victory. It also helps that he has an ongoing solo series and another on the way called S.W.O.R.D. If for some reason Cable does die, he probably has a clone waiting to take his place.

Gorgon

The Gorgon is another one of the Great Captains of Krakoa. He’s the personal bodyguard for the members of the Quiet Council. It sounds silly that people with power of the Quiet Council would need protection. Nonetheless, if anybody is going to protect them, it’s Gorgon.

Chance of death: Extremely high

All of Gorgon’s arrogance is justified. It’s rare that he loses a fight. When he does, it’s due to his arrogance. This isn’t the case anymore. He seems humbled by being a member of Krakoa. Because of his near-flawless fighting skills, him dying could be the thing that shocks everyone – especially if he unleashes his stare that turns people to stone and it has no effect. If this writer was a betting man, he’d put his money on Gorgon.
