This actor from Matt Reeves’ The Batman has wrapped up their scenes on the film. Does that mean we are nearing the end of principal photography?

Matt Reeves’ long-anticipated The Batman has, like many films this year, experienced an uncertain production, but through the speedbumps, they may be getting closer and closer to the finish line .

Actor Jay Lycargo – who was seen in The Batman’s first trailer wearing skull makeup as he portrayed one of the group of thugs who appeared to be in awe of Battinson’s presence – posted an image of himself on Instagram (H/T: CinemaBlend), commenting how his “Crying Thug” has wrapped.

See the post below:

Could the above image suggest that The Batman is nearing the end of its production? It has, after all, been filming for some months now and as the Crying Thug seemingly appeared in the trailer – which was released back in August – it would seem that the role is more than just that of a thug who Batman destroys.

A potential trilogy of The Batman has been rumored for some time now and a spin-off procedural drama series inspired by Ed Brubaker’s and Greg Rucka’s Gotham Central comic book series is in the works at HBO Max.

Centering on a young, but established caped–and–cowl crusader rather early into his crime-fighting career The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard.

Matt Reeves is directing from a screenplay he has co-written with Peter Craig. Reeves and Dylan Clark are producing for Pearl Street Films in association with 6th and Idaho Productions. Warner Bros. Pictures is set to distribute.

The Batman is expected to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
