2. Katie McGrath in A Princess For Christmas

Katie McGrath’s talents know no bounds. On Supergirl she has given us tender, scorned, joy, heartbreak, love, hate and just about every emotion a human being is capable of conveying through her portrayal of Lena Luthor, casting a spotlight on just how rich a character she is – and how great an actress McGrath herself truly is.

Before all that, however, she starred in the heartwarming holiday movie A Christmas Princess. Released in 2011, the film saw the Supergirl star portray Jules – an antique store staff member in Buffalo. The aunt and legal guardian of two children whose parents died, she struggles to juggle work with the stresses of the grieving siblings. However, things turn around when the family are invited to their grandfather’s castle for Christmas.

From there, their lives become one big Christmas adventure as the trio get used to living like royals and attempt to make the kids’ royal grandfather duke Edward (portrayed by the legendary Roger Moore) happy in his darkest of times. And to make her feel like even more of a princess, she begins to fall for Edward’s son, Prince Ashton.

A truly heartfelt spin on the age-old rags to riches story, A Princess For Christmas is a hopeful delight led magnificently by Katie McGrath.
